The Effects of Moxibustion on Muscle Metabolism after Muscular Exercise

Abstract
In order to know that how effects of muscle metabolism by muscular exercise after moxibustion(Zusanli-S 36 and Ganhu-B 18) will bring about, we have measured the change in Creatinine, LDH activity, and concentration of Lactate from rat muscular tissue, and finally concluded as follows;
1. From rat muscular tissue in control group being exercised swimming, concentration of Creatinine and Lactate, and LDH activity have increased according to amounts of muscular exercise.
2. The concentration of Creatinine in experiment group for muscular tissue has shown a significant decrease than in control group after moxibustion.
3. The activity of LDH in experiment group for muscular tissue has shown a significant decrease than in control group after moxibustion.
4. The concentration of Lactate in experiment group for muscular tissue has shown a significant decrease than in control group after moxibustion.
5. The concentration of Creatinine and Lactate, and LDH activity have shown a high percentage of decrease in measurement value, as the days of moxibustion treatment pass.
From the above result, we have identified that moxibustion has an anti-fatigue effect upon increase in power of locomotion, which seems to be resulted from the fact that moxibustion decreases the concentrations of Creatinine and Lactate, and LDH activity, Therefore moxibustion treatment gives an anti-fatigue effect upon muscle.
